Seminar to exchange and enhance learning

To Whom It May Concern: Temples, Dharma Centers, and Acaryas and Masters of Dharma-Listening Sessions of All Dharma Listening Centers

Amitabha!
In order to enhance the learning of Acaryas and Masters of Dharma-Listening Sessions and to provide guidance for everyone in learning the Buddha-dharma, Buddhism, and Buddhist Studies as well as in their self-cultivation, the International Buddhism Sangha Association (IBSA) has decided to conduct a series of seminars to exchange and enhance learning. These seminars will help benefit all attendees in obtaining perfect accomplishment in good fortune and wisdom sooner as well as bring happiness and enhance their general well-being. Moreover, they are for promoting one’s comprehension and understanding of the teachings of Dorje Chang Buddha III and Sakyamuni Buddha. In addition, they will enable one to exchange learning experiences and ideas in dharma listening, establish moral standards, uphold correct views, improve one’s practice, and attain virtue and a state of realization.
Those who have acquired the qualifications of Acaryas or Masters of Dharma-Listening Sessions are eligible to enroll in the seminars. Acaryas and Masters of Dharma-Listening Sessions will be divided into two independent groups with separate learning and discussion sessions. Participants will learn from the rich experiences of those who excel in learning and propagating the dharma, enabling such participants them to enrich and supplement the areas where they are lacking at their centers.
The first two-day seminar to enhance the learning of Acaryas and Masters of Dharma-Listening Sessions will take place in Hong Kong on July 17th and 18th, 2010. Buddhist disciples who have not been formally qualified as a Master of Dharma-Listening Sessions but already have a dharma listening center, or who have fulfilled the requirements to establish a dharma listening center but have not yet received dharma discourses, are eligible to submit a written request statement to IBSA by June 15th to register for the seminar. In the meantime, if a Master of Dharma-Listening Sessions or a practitioner who has been listening to dharma has already established 10 dharma listening centers, he or she is eligible to apply for a promotion to the status of Acarya. For those who have accumulated extraordinary merit from propagating dharma, benefiting living beings, and selflessly helping others with great compassion, the possibility exists that you may possess the qualities of being a greatly virtuous one. We will send your request to eminent monastics, holy virtuous ones, or great rinpoches and ask them to look into and verify the identity of your previous life according to dharma principles. Then you might be conferred or recognized as a rinpoche. Those who make this request will be notified individually according to the actual situation after we have processed and reviewed your application.
We will first make arrangements for Rinpoches and Acaryas to receive profound initiations. For Masters of Dharma-Listening Sessions, receiving these initiations will be based on one’s merits in leading the public to listen to the dharma, the number of people in one’s dharma center(s), and one’s record of attendance in the seminars to exchange and enhance learning. IBSA will report to the United International World Buddhism Association Headquarters and respectfully request that you receive initiations from a greatly virtuous being. The order of receiving initiations will be based upon the above-mentioned criteria.
Meanwhile, IBSA will prepare recordings of dharma discourses, including extremely important dharma discourses that have not yet been distributed to dharma centers, and make them available to participants of this seminar upon request. Participants can respectfully request the published and unpublished dharma discourses at the conclusion of the seminar.

List of Dharma Discourses Obtained: Please send by June 21a list of the dharma discourses that your center has obtained from IBSA so that IBSA will know which dharma discourses your center needs to receive and can prepare them accordingly.
